Rodrigo y Carmen

Rodrigo and Carmen Delgado are the husband-and-wife team behind Bogotá Candela Festival, which they co-founded in 2008 after years of running club nights and dance schools across Bogotá.

Rodrigo leads programming, artist relations, and commercial partnerships, while Carmen oversees production, logistics, and the festival's community initiatives.

Together they have built Candela into South America's most internationally recognised multi-style Latin congress.

Both are former competitive dancers — Rodrigo in salsa, Carmen in champeta — which gives them an unusually sharp eye for talent and a deep empathy for what performing artists need from an organiser.

They are widely regarded as two of the most influential figures in the Latin dance festival industry globally.
